Overview

At the start from Péronne the first 5km is along the old railway line which can be very wet and boggy.  The route then mainly follows roads to Trefcon.

Walk Description :

stage 451 - With the Musee de la Grande Guerre behind you pass through the car park ahead and turn left along Rue Du Gladimont.  Head towards the clock tower passing it on your left and then turn right at the traffic lights Rue Beranger.  Continue straight down the road past the supermarket on your right.

2 - After the road bears right take the track left before reaching garages 1-9 on your left.  Follow the old railway track for approx 5km, then turn right up the road past the houses at Rue du Puissard and then left into the village of Cartigny.

3 - Go through the village and after passing a chapel on the left turn right along the tarmac track to the village of Bouvincourt-en-Vermandois.  Take the first left and right down the main street and the next left along Rue Vraignes. stage 45

4 - Reach the village of Vraignes-en-Vermandois, turn right and pass through it to eventually reach a roundabout.  Go straight across and head along the D15 direction Tertry and then next left D44 direction Tertry.  Pass through that village and at the top of the hill take the left turn signposted Trefcon to reach the Allee de l’Eglise on your right.
